Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 June 2026
This policy explains how Tastibase (“we”, “us”) handles information when you visit tastibase.com. We've deliberately built Tastibase to collect as little as possible.
Information we do not collect
- We do not require an account. There is no login, and we do not ask for your name, email, or password to browse.
- We do not run ads or sell, rent, or trade any personal information.
- The search box runs entirely in your browser — what you type is not sent to or stored on our servers.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes basic, standard request data — such as your IP address and browser type — to serve pages securely and to protect against abuse. Where we use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics, it is configured without cookies and does not identify you individually.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Reviewers' data
Tastibase analyses publicly available reviews to compute aggregate scores. We do not store or display the text of individual reviews, reviewer names, or reviewer profiles on this site. See How it works for details.
Third-party links
Pages may link out to Google Maps, restaurant websites, or ordering platforms. Once you follow a link, that third party's own privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for their practices.
Your rights
If you are in a jurisdiction with data-protection rights (such as the EU/UK GDPR or the Australian Privacy Act), you may contact us about any personal data you believe we hold. Because we don't maintain user accounts, in most cases we hold no personal data about individual visitors.
